On Thursday, December 01, 2022, Michael Louis Angelotti, loving husband and father, passed absent peacefully at the age of 87.
Mike was born on July 15, 1935, in Erie, PA to Louis and Mayme (DeSantis) Angelotti. He acquired his Master of Arts and Doctorate in English Education from Florida Condition University, Tallahassee, FL. Although in Tallahassee, he taught English at Blessed Sacrament University and Florida Significant College.
For 39 decades, he was a professor of English Training at Texas Tech University and the College of Oklahoma (OU). All through his tenure at OU, he served as an Affiliate Dean, Interim Dean, Division Chair for Educational Management and Tutorial Curriculum (ILAC) and on quite a few Doctoral committees. He retired in 2013 as Professor Emeritus. Mike was a passionate, dedicated educator beloved by his pupils as teacher and mentor.
He invited all to appreciate and take part in poetry and portray. Mike taught with terrific pleasure the summer system, Creativity in Teaching Composition (Paint-Produce) – a study course he developed. As the third Director of the Oklahoma Composing Venture (OWP), a qualified finding out group that celebrates good lecturers and superior educating, he led various Summer season Institutes and each individual 12 months held “The Fountain of the Muse,” at the National Producing Venture Convention, inviting lecturers from across the nation to expend the night crafting and sharing poetry. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Louis, and his mother, Mayme. He is survived by his spouse of 60-many years, Faye, his daughter, Lisa, his brother Jerry, various cousins, nieces, and nephews.
